Lexus can’t seem to stop making special Black Line Edition models. Last month, we saw Lexus reveal a de-chromed RC that came with blacked-out accents, special alloy wheels, and a bespoke set of travel cases from Zero Haliburton.
Now, the Lexus UX gets the Black Line treatment as well. Officially called the UX 250h Black Line Edition, the hybrid crossover gets a few neat touches inside and out.
While it may look like any standard UX on the road, this special edition variant gets black 18-inch alloy wheels, black grille surround, darkened headlights, black side mirrors, and black roof rails. Clearly, Lexus did not hold back in applying blacked-out elements. Serving as a contrast against the black-painted elements is a choice of three color options: Eminent White Pearl, Caviar, and the all-new Grecian Water as seen here.
Those that like their interiors dark will be happy to know that this UX comes with black leather-trimmed seats. It even has neat touches of blue which can be seen on the seatbelts, seat covers, center console, and dashboard. Like the RC, the special edition UX has two Zero Haliburton travel cases. Each custom Black Line set includes a 22-inch International Carry-on and a 26-inch Continental medium travel case.
Only one engine option is available for the Black Line UX, a 2.0-liter hybrid powertrain that is connected to a CVT. The system has a combined output of 184 PS and benefits from E-Four all-wheel-drive.
Looking to get one for yourself? Lexus is set to make only 1,000 examples of the UX 250h Black Line Edition. As to whether Lexus Philippines will make these models available, we have yet to find out.
