FDNY responds to fire at auto body shop

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y — The FDNY responded Monday morning to a fire inside an auto body shop in Brighton Heights.

About 12 units and 60 members brought the “all-hands” fire under control at 419 Castleton Ave., according to a post on the FDNY Twitter feed.

The fire started around 10 a.m., according to emergency radio communications.
